Mr Ashis Mondal- Managing

Ashis Mondal - Director
Ashis Mondal is the founder Director of Action for Social Advancement (ASA). His major working experience of over twenty five years includes the development of livelihoods for smallholders, particularly tribal and other marginalised groups through natural resources management – particularly watersheds, minor irrigation, sustainable agriculture, financial inclusion and promotion of smallholders' organisation for agribusiness.
He has consulting experience with several organisations like the World Bank, FAO, the Asian Development Bank, State's Planning Commission, etc. in the areas of designing monitoring and evaluation systems, community institutional design for large irrigation projects, impact assessment of agriculture projects and social research. He has worked for short term assignments in Afghanistan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Brazil and Argentina.
He has served as a member of the National Advisory Council (NAC) of the Government of India from 2012 - 2014, where he played leading role in the areas of smallholders' agriculture, farmer producers' organisations, agro-forestry policy in India, and public agriculture extension systems. He is also a Member, Agriculture Sector Innovation Council, Govt. of India since 2013, National Advisory Committee of Producer Organisation Development Fund of NABARD and is the Honorary Director of NABKISSAN, a Finance Company of NABARD. Ashis is an executive body member of the Round Table for Responsible Soybean Association (, a global body for improvement of soya bean value chain.
Ashis possesses vast writing experience and has co-authored books “Monitoring for Outcomes in Community Driven Projects”, published by The World Bank, Washington DC, 2007; and “A Handbook on using Participatory Monitoring and Learning Tools”, published by the Academic Foundation, New Delhi, 2007. There are more than ten technical papers authored by him.

Ms. G.Jayanthi - Trustee and Program Director (HR)
G. Jayanthi, is a post graduate in forestry management from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.
She has over two decades of experience in development work and has been one of the key persons in setting up Action for Social Advancement (ASA).
She has specialised in community organisation, designing development interventions in the fields of natural resource management, livelihood promotion and institutional development. She steers the human resources development activities in ASA

Sheikh -Regional Manager MP West

Sheikh Moharram Bahna-Chief Operating Officer
Sheikh is a B Tech, Agricultural Engineering and MBA. Sheikh has expertise in project management and partners management, community relations, conflict management, corporate matters and stakeholders management. He has also been involved in many community based watershed models, some of which have also been published in national media. He is also having multi sectoral experience on Livelihood, Health, Nutrition and Education.

Manas Mohan, Programme Director, Agribusiness Promotion and Chief Operating Officer, CISSPO

Manas Mohan possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad. A Development Professional, he has more than fifteen years' experience across the Rural & Capacity Development domain. He has worked in the fields of Rural Development, action plans for agribusiness, development of cooperatives/producer companies, skill enhancement of farmers & artisans through working groups, etc.


H.B. Dwivedi

H.B. Dwivedi, Programme Director-SHG & Regional Manager, Bundelkhand, MP  
H.B. Dwivedi is an M.Sc. from A.P.S. University Rewa [M.P.] and M.Phil. from Vikram University Ujjain [M.P.].
His specialization is in land and water resource development, project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation. He has very large experience in watershed programme management including planning and development of soil and water conservation measures alongwith community organization, and capacity building, training, etc.. He has also worked in field of grey water reuse, setting up plants and commissioning.

Vivek Saraf - Manager MIS, Monitoring & Learning

Vivek Saraf - Programme Director MIS, Monitoring & Learning 

Vivek is an M.Sc. Digital Electronics and PGDCA and specialises in Systems design, Software development, IT and ICT applications, Geographical Information systems, MIS and IT Training. He has an experience of 25 years in software development, MIS development and commissioning and GIS applications.

Sunil Kumar Jain

Sunil Kumar Jain, Programme Manager - Agriculture
Sunil is an M. Sc. (Agriculture) from JNKVV Jabalpur and has an experience of over 11 years in development sector, including promotion of sustainable agriculture, promotion & strengthening of Producers Company, establishing backward & forward linkages for FPC with market & other development agencies and livelihoods promotion around natural resource management, training of farmers, promotion of GAP, Rice & Wheat intensification.

Sunil Kumar Jain

Ramdev Prajapati, Co-ordinator, Seed Production

Ramdev is a post graduate in Agriculture from RCA, Udaipur (Raj.) and has over 20 yrs experience of hybrid seed production of Vegetables, Cotton and Field crops at different localities of seed production within India. He has also worked also on the formation of Co-operatives of Oilseed growers and procurement of their produce for Federation.


Ved Prakash Sao, Coordinator- Procurement and Marketing Support

Ved Prakash possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Bussiness Management from Symbiosis Imstitute, Pune. As Business Development Professional, he has more than Thirteen years experience across the Agri Business & Service Industries. He has worked in the fields of Rural Development action plans for agribusiness, Market Linnkages for FPC through working groups, etc.


Samim Molla, Regional Manager, Jharkhand Region

Samim is a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from WBSCTE.  He has over 10 years of experience as a development professional in implementation of watershed, food security, agriculture, gender in agriculture, sanitation & education projects, implementation of development projects and agriculture development.

Neeraj Mansharamani, Manager-FPC Credit Linkage

Neeraj is a post graduate in Commerce and has expertise in the field of taxation and its compliance. He has an experience of over 16 years in the Accounting and Finance Industry. He has mainly worked in areas of finance, audit control, legal compliance's and complete business solutions, HR and payroll solutions, credit linkages, inventory management, devising internal controls and MIS (Monitoring and evaluation services) and financial linkages for the FPOs.

He is a Post Graduate in Economics, LL.B and PGDPM&IR. He has an experience of over 25 years in India and abroad in various industries and he is an expert in HR, IR, Legal & Administration matters.

Anil Singh Parihar is a MA Sociology. He has over two decades of experience in Watershed, Agriculture, SHG and FPC. His expertise is in community organization, training, designing and development of interventions in the fields of natural resource management and livelihood promotion.

Ramveer is Graduate in Agriculture from JNKVV Jabalpur and Master in Sociology from RDVV, Jabalpur. He has more than 16 years’ experience in rural development sector on  Institution building, INRM, Agribusiness and promotion of certification farming with addressing gender issues, livelihood of rural community, etc.


Sharad Mishra, Senior Area Manager, Mandla
Sharad Mishra is a M. Sc. (Ag) He has experience of around 10 years in Agriculture productivity enhancement Participatory Irrigation Management, Forestry Development, Agro forestry, Nursery Management of Fruits, Non Fruits. He has experience in Agriculture productivity enhancement for Major Kharif and Rabi crops.

B. Singh Patel is a B.Tech. (Agri.Engg.), M.Tech. From IIT Kharagpur (W.B.) and MBA (HR) from Symbiosis Pune.  His specialization is in Natural Recourses Management and livelihoods enhancement of the rural poor of central & eastern India. He has more than 10 years experience of NRM, Watershed development; Planning and Management, monitoring and quality enhancement.


Mohammad Rashid Sheikh, Area Manager Petlawad & HUB Incharge (Rawti)
Mohammad is Masters in Social Work from Indore School of Social work (ISSW), and has more than 8 years grass root and managerial level experience including experience in field of rural development, agricultural livelihood sector. He s handling challenging works of supporting technically to Farmer Producer organisations, Organic cotton production, Seed production, etc.

He has more than 4.5 years of experience as a Development Professional in implementation of Water Harvesting Structure, gender in Agriculture, Food security, NTFP and livelihood projects Planning and Management.

Balajee is M.Sc. (Botany) specializing in (Microbiology & Plan pathology) from Ranchi University and MBA from BIT, Ranchi. He has experience of over 15 years and his core competencies are in NTFP Business Development, Business analytics, Natural Resource management & planning and livelihoods enhancement of the rural people through NTFP business development, Business Diversification, Market research, Customer Relationship Management, Technical Knowledge, Project Management and Team Development, Production led extension, Market led Extension of Lac & other NTFP, backward & forward linkages through FPC & Developing Agri-entrepreneur for credit linkage system.
