The erratic (unpredictable) rainfall pattern in the form of delayed onset and early withdrawal adversely affects the farmers with their farming operations and thus a poor income. With the support from “Where There’s a Well” marginal farmers from Barwani, Jhabua and Ratlam Districts of Madhya Pradesh are benefitted through the construction of dug wells. The programme has considerably improved the income and their livelihood of the beneficiaries. It has also triggered the reverse migration for the families with increased opportunity of work in their own farms.
